2 weeks ago Irish fashion designer Mary Grant opened her boutique in The Powerscourt Townhouse Centre in Dublin.
Creating timeless pieces for women since 1993, Mary’s
latest feast of fashion is lifestyle as opposed to trend driven to
ensure there is something to perfectly suit all moods, tastes
and occasions. Simple silhouettes, feminine hues and sophisticated cuts
have been combined to stand the test of time and become tomorrow’s
heirlooms.
Coveted
for its use of luxurious textures, exquisite detailing and ethical
production methods, this spring/summer collection offers a host of
timeless pieces to choose from and has been created with the modern day
Irish woman as its design inspiration.
With
each collection being designed as an extension of the previous seasons,
clients can create a fresh look or pair new garments with their
favourite classic pieces. Tulle skirts
with asymmetrical knit tunics, printed jersey dresses and stretch voile
overdresses are just some of the sartorial staples which will
transition seamlessly from day to night with a simple accessory change.
The
immaculate skills in constructing and stitching all clothing by hand
are the trademarks of this unique collection. It can take several days
of making and remaking a piece, with
perhaps only a millimetre between rows of stitching or tucks being the
difference between a garment being rejected or receiving the designer’s
special seal of approval.
This are my favourite pieces from Mary's latest collection, Spring/Summer 2015
Big Thanks to Mary and Fiona for inviting me! It was a great pleasure meeting you Ladies!
